“And it grew both day and night. Till it bore an apple bright”

Jacquard woven piece woven by Kristina Austi.
Materials: Wool, polyester.
Size: 155x284cm
Year of production: 2023

Inspired by William Blake's poem "A Poison Tree," this artwork explores the destructive power of suppressed anger and the inevitable consequences it bears. Drawing from the narrative tapestries of 15th-century Gobelins and integrating the complexity of 3D printed structures, it bridges historical and contemporary modes of expression.
The artwork will be exhibited at Galleri Soft in Oslo until the 7th of April 2024.
